You start the hike in Oetz and follow the "Beerweg" over snowy fields to Sautens. There you follwo the path along the river first to Brunau and then to Ötztal Bahnhof. At the train station you walk through the forest on wide paths to Haiming.

EquipmentIt is recommended to wear hiking equipment such as outdoor clothing, weather-resistant outdoor clothing, ankle-high mountain boots, wind, rain and sun protection, cap and gloves. It is also important to have sufficient food and a first-aid package, a cell phone and a hiking map.

Technical Equipment for Winter Hiking
- Hiking poles fitted with snow baskets
- Trail ‘spike’ crampons at minimum and a basic ice axe are recommended when covering steeper terrain
