While a high from the west will settle down in low air layers over Middle Europe, a brisk northerly current is still located in the high air layers over the Alps. Consequently, a significant weather improvement is not expected yet. Sunny conditions on Sunday morning will be replaced by cloud banks from the north in the afternoon and weak snowfall will set in again towards the evening. The current will increasingly veer to the east until Monday, consequently residual low stratus will still be pushed to the valleys. However, sunny spells are expected again especially in the mountains. The influence of high-pressure will further increase towards Tuesday, whereby the air will further dry off and mostly perfect sunshine is forecast for the rest of the week. The temperatures will remain wintry cold despite long sunny spells.
