4 days trend
A strong high-pressure complex over the North Atlantic will increasingly withdraw towards the west at the weekend. As a result, the current over the Alps will turn from west to south-west throughout the weekend. In the course of this, the humid-cold air masses will withdraw from the Alpine region. With the wind shift to the south at the beginning of next week very mild air from the Mediterranean region will settle in. With a persistently rising southerly foehn wind dry and mostly sunny weather conditions will settle in in the north of the Alpine divide. At the Alpine divide barrier effects of compact clouds are expected along the mountains which will produce some precipitation.
