The hiking trail starts at the car park Bischoffsplatz. From there you continue past the Restaurant Kneipphäusl, following the "Arzwinkl Waalweg" signs. The water trail (Waalweg) travels above the forest road past the Ötzi Village and the Birds of Prey Park (only open in summer) towards the waterfall. At the end of the trail you continue on the wide forest path that takes you to the foot of the Stuibenfall where you can admire the elemental energy of this nature spectacle. From there you walk back on the same route to the starting point of the hike. 

 

Due to clear ice the hiking trail to the waterfall, from Umhausen as well as from Niederthai, will be closed until further!

Turn-by-turn directions

Public transport

Travel safe and comfortable with the train to the Ötztal Bahnhof train station. Last stop and exit point is the train station Ötztal Bahnhof. Afterwards you can travel smoothly and quick with the public transport or out local taxi companies through the valley to your desired destination. By road

The car drive to the Ötztal valley. Situated in Tirol, the Ötztal valley set off in southerly direction and is the longest side valley in the Eastern Alps. The journey with the car leads you through the Inntal valley to the entrance of the vallly and further on through the valley. Among the toll motorways you can also use the country roads.
