The view from Söldenkogl of Sölden and the majestic peaks of the Ötztal Alps rewards for the strenuous ascent. Those who prefer it a bit more leisurely can take a taxi to Kleble Alm or to Fiegls Gasthaus.

- from Kleble-Alm (1,983 m): 3 hrs, return 2 hrs
- from Fiegls Gasthaus (1,956 m): 3 hrs, return 2 hrs

Red mountain trails are moderately difficult: some narrow and steep, but assured walking and climbing passages are waiting for hikers. The corresponding signs are in yellow basic color and have a red circle as a difficulty indication.
Suitable for sure-footed and experienced hikers;good physical condition, mountain experience and mountain equipment (see under equipment) necessary.

From there, a narrow trail leads through the forest to the tree line. From there, a wonderful view of the Windachtal opens up.
Continue on the path to the crossroads, where there is a very small lake. From the intersection, it goes uphill steadily. First over mountainsides and then over rubble. For the last part to the summit you have to hike over a lto of rocks . The path is secured by ropes. Surefootedness and freedom from slipping required.
The descent is via the same route (2 hours) or to the Windachalm (2.5 hours)

Enjoy a both comfortable and relaxing train ride to the train station in Ötztal Bahnhof. You get off the train in ÖTZTAL Bahnhof where you change to a public bus or local taxi. The current bus schedule can be found at: http://fahrplan.vvt.at
Getting there
The drive to the ÖTZTAL. Located in Tyrol, the ÖTZTAL branches off to the south as the longest side valley of the Eastern Alps. Arriving by car leads guests over the Inn Valley to the valley entrance and further along the Ötztal. In addition to the toll motorway can also be used on rural roads. Equipment
It is recommended to wear hiking equipment such as breathable and weather-adapted outdoor clothing, ankle-high mountain boots, wind, rain and sun protection, cap and possibly gloves. It is also important to have enough food, as well as a first-aid package, a cell phone and a hiking map.
